Supporting Financial Literacy Within the Community<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Velocity Community Credit Union has been able to support youths through out Palm Beach County with financial literacy. We support several schools and youth centers by partnering with Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast<\/a> to provide financial literacy classes. Within the program, the students learn about budgeting, credit, financial institutions, identity theft, investment basics, and more<\/a>! By the end of the program, they have the financial knowledge to succeed and receive a certificate of completion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eisenhower Elementary School<\/h4>\n

It is never too early to start creating good financial habits. In 2022, we have run \"Eisenhower12 financial literacy series with the students of Eisenhower Elementary School. Through these classes, the students are starting off their financial journey on the right foot.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Independence Middle School<\/h4>\n

\"FBLAVelocity Community Credit Union has supported the FBLA students at Independent Middle School for over 10 years. With each group of students, we build on what they have learned so far in the classroom and practice it. Through mock interviews, financial literacy classes, and more, we make sure these students succeed in their future.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jupiter High School<\/h4>\n

When the athletic boosters club at Jupiter Community High Schoo\"Supportingl approached us about becoming a major sponsor of their new stadium, we were excited by the opportunity to become more involved in the area. Our Jupiter branch had just opened, and the stadium seemed like a great partnership \u2013 and it truly has been! We are grateful for how open and welcoming the Jupiter High School community has been to us. From inviting us to sporting events to participating in their College Fair, the staff, students, and parents have been awesome. We love working with the students from DECA and look forward to watching them grow and succeed over the next few years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pleasant City Youth Empowerment Center\u00a0<\/h4>\n

\"VCCUVelocity Community were invited to share our financial literacy knowledge with the camp groups at Pleasant City youth Empowerment Center. We lead a 6 session financial series discussing all the basics for their future success. At completion, the students enjoyed a graduation party with pizza!<\/p>\n

Royal Palm Beach High School<\/h4>\n

\"VCCURoyal Palm Beach High School invited us to support their students at sporting events, college and career fairs, and more! We, also, support the personal financial literacy teachers by providing fun activities that teach the students about checking, savings, debit cards, and how to write a check. We love being able to work with such great students!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
