A fabulous team of Velocity Community employees, their families, and Board Members ![\"Velocity](\"https:\/\/www.velocitycommunity.org\/wph\/workarea\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/IMG7859-225x300.jpg\")
helped underprivileged kids from the community prepare for the new school year. We distributed free school supplies and backpacks at Palm Beach County’s Back to School Bash. This annual event is always a huge success! Kids love picking out exactly what they want, leaving them prepared, and looking forward to starting a new school year! A special thank you goes out to all the volunteers and donors who were kind, hardworking, and dedicated to making a difference. The Back to School Bash is the event that gives back!<\/p>\n

Forgotten Soldiers\u00a0<\/a><\/h4>\n\nOn June 23rd, 2022, we had the best time putting some extra TLC in our care packages for Forgotten Soldiers Outreach! We stuffed these packages with snacks, personal hygiene items, notes, and all sorts of goodies. Our hope is that soldiers who receive these packages will be encouraged and reminded that we are thankful for all that they do!<\/p>\n

Join us every year in helping Palm Beach Gardens Police and Firemen give new toys and clothes to underprivileged children and families in our area. Drop off unwrapped gifts at all our branches from the end of November through\u00a0the week before Christmas.<\/p>\n

Live Like Jake 5k<\/a><\/h4>\n![\"Velocity](\"https:\/\/www.velocitycommunity.org\/wph\/workarea\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Group-300x225.jpg\")
Our Velocity Community team once again participated in the Annual Live Like Jake<\/a> 5K Walk\/Run. The funds raised are used for self-rescue swim lessons, to financially assist families who lost a loved one, and families who have a child with critical care needs.\u00a0If you would like to support the\u00a0Live Like Jake Foundation<\/a>, donations can be made online.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
OneBlood<\/h4>\n
Velocity Community partnered with OneBlood<\/a> on February 8, 2022, to bring the Big Red Bus to our PGA Branch. We donated blood in support of this great charity, who provides safe, available, and affordable blood to more than 200 hospital partners and their patients.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Paint Your Heart Out Palm Beach County<\/a><\/h4>\n\n![\"Velocity](\"https:\/\/www.velocitycommunity.org\/wph\/workarea\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/group-shot-with-homeowner-300x278.jpg\")
On March 18, 2023, Velocity Community staff and their families woke up bright and early to “paint their hearts out!” Once a year, we volunteer as a credit union to paint a house in the community. The Solid Waste Authority picks the house and provides donated paint for the house.<\/p>\n
Paint Your Heart Out<\/a> is a nonprofit organization that relies on private contributions. The houses are chosen based on a need basis, often because the residents are aging or ill and cannot afford to maintain the homes they have lived in for many years.<\/p>\nThis year, Velocity Community Credit Union employees and their families met in Royal Palm Beach to give a much-needed facelift to a neighborhood home. The group painted the 1500+ square foot home under four hours!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Our staff, board members, and their families supported Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s<\/a> Walk for the Animals! It was held on February 25th, 2023, at the Meyer Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
Quantum House <\/a><\/h4>\n\n![\"Velocity](\"https:\/\/www.velocitycommunity.org\/wph\/workarea\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/qh-chef-for-a-day-1-scaled.jpg\")
Velocity Community Credit Union is pleased to support Quantum House<\/span><\/a> in its efforts to lessen the burden for families whose children are receiving treatment in Palm Beach County for a serious medical condition.<\/p>\nVelocity Community supports Quantum House through donations, volunteering, and participating in their events. We believe that by supporting Quantum House and its efforts, we are helping the entire community.<\/p>\n
